COURSE DESCRIPTION – CURTIN NORTH

How to get

On the South side of the Cotter Road opposite the entrance to Equestrian Park (Near McCullock St - ( B2 on Yellow Pages map 68 )

Course Description

The Frylink and Waddell courses proceed East along the path parallel to the Cotter Road, around the edge of North Curtin Oval and under McCulloch St. After McCulloch St both courses continue on the cycle path parallel to Yarralumla Creek. At 1.5K return to the start/finish point. (Course length 3.0K)

The Thomas course proceeds West along the path parallel to the Cotter Road. This path continues up the hill to the South remaining close to the houses at the Western edge of Curtin. Over the top of the hill and at about 2.2K, after Bavin St, the course turns to the east and goes down under Carruthers St to Curtin School oval. The course proceeds around the southern edge of the oval, then onto the path leading down to the bike path parallel to the stormwater drain. At this point the course turns North and follows the main cycle path parallel to the drain. This path leads back to McCulloch St and around the edge of North Curtin Oval to the start point. The last 1.5K of the Thomas course is the same as the short course. (Course length 6.2K)
